About
Etai Rogers-Fett is a printmaker and book artist drawing on archival research, speculative imagining, and collaborative social practice to create visual narratives about Yiddish cultural transmission. Etai understands acts of repetition, exchange, and transformation as the connection between the cultural-linguistic dimensions of his work and the technical side of craft traditions like printmaking and book binding.
Etai is currently an MFA candidate in Printmaking at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. You can find Etai printing under the name “tsukunst,” a portmanteau of the Yiddish words for “art” and “future,” reflecting a guiding belief in art as a vessel for future-making.
Etai is a member of Signal Fire Radical Jewish Artist Coop. To learn more about Signal Fire and purchase work from Etai and other member artists, visit signalfirecoop.org.
